Training Programs
Partnership programs are facilitated by SENEDIA through the New England Submarine Shipbuilding Partnership’s Regional Training Network. These programs use General Dynamics Electric Boat and submarine industrial base approved curriculums. These programs are free to submarine industrial base suppliers to send incumbent workers to or to hire new employees from.

Recruiting Programs
Recruiting programs are designed to provide an opportunity for interested candidates to learn about the trades and industrial skills needed for submarine shipbuilding through hands-on programming.
- Youth Recruiting Programs for available Career and Technical Education High Schools connected to the submarine industrial base.
- Boat for Kids
- This is an in class, 4th/5th grade level program taught by Partnership teachers is available to elementary schools to teach the 6 core trades of welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, pipefitting, electrical, and shipfitting through hands-on experiments.

The New England Submarine Shipbuilding Partnership also provides a funding for trades and industrial skills training for programs not run by the partnership through our Incumbent Worker/New Hire Trades and Industrial Skills Training Program. Suppliers can access $30,000 per company/$10,000 per trainee through this reimbursement subsidy program.
